thanksgiving

2024

Celebrated at Rob & Beth's house again this year, Thanksgiving was filled with fun and amazing food. Rob pulled out all the stops with deep fried turkey, smoked spiral ham, kettle brown beans, and garlic Brussels sprouts. Bethany prepped her beloved french onion casserole and creamy spuds. I cooked at home and traveled baked mac-n-cheese plus traditional thanksgiving dressing . To top off the delish dinner, Tori delighted us with two delectable desserts; scratch made pies, one pumpkin the other apple.
Keira and Remy stayed busy. Tools, darts and Rob's digital infrared gun thermometer captivated Remy. And Keira discovered her "bestie" for life in Gilly Ganus, the youngest of the Golden duo in the Ganus household.
For me, a perfect day. Two of three of my kids, four grands (8 if you count the furry ones) all together sharing hugs, laughs and great food. Yep, I'll take it.

Why the photo of mom's urn on the mantel at the Dogwood house? Well, it was an act of God that we even were going to be home for Thanksgiving. And truly a Blessing.
